A Short Bedtime Bible Story for Kids
Once there was a man named Jonah. God asked him to go to a city called Nineveh and tell the people to live good and kind lives.
But Jonah was afraid and tried to run away by sailing on a ship.
Soon, a mighty storm shook the sea. The sailors cried out in fear. Jonah realized the storm came because he had disobeyed God.
With a brave heart, Jonah told the sailors to throw him into the sea. The storm stopped, and the waters became calm.
But Jonah did not sink! Instead, a big fish swallowed him. Inside the fish’s belly, Jonah prayed to God with all his heart.
After three days, the fish spat Jonah safely onto the shore.
Jonah then obeyed God and went to Nineveh. He told the people to turn back to God, and they listened.

You cannot run away from God. When you pray and obey, God will guide and protect you.
