๐๐ David and the Sleepy Giant
๐๐ “David and the Sleepy Giant”
A Bible bedtime story for children about courage, faith, and gentle strength
In a quiet valley where sheep snuggled under stars and the wind sang lullabies, lived a boy named David.
He wasn’t a soldier. He didn’t wear armor. He played the harp and cared for sheep.
But one day, a giant named Goliath stomped into the valley.
“I am the strongest!” he roared. “Who dares to stop me?”
The soldiers trembled. The king frowned. Even the birds flew away.
But David stepped forward with a sling in his hand and a smile on his face.
“I don’t need armor,” he said. “I have faith.”
He picked up a smooth stone, whispered a prayer, and gently placed it in his sling.
Whizz! The stone flew through the air and tapped Goliath right on the forehead.
The giant blinked, yawned… and fell asleep!
The valley cheered. The sheep danced. The king clapped.
From that day on, David became the hero of bedtime stories—proof that even the smallest heart can carry the biggest courage.
๐ Moral of the Story:
Faith makes the smallest brave.
